Yeah, the problem is, that you need a bigger table. Try not to let a table designer's shortcomings influence your decisions.

I hate to disagree but he doesn't need a larger table. He needs a second table. Then the collection can comfortably double in size, a reasonable goal. Challenging problems sometimes have simple solutions.
