Is this really a Japanese mine?

There's a grouping of WW2 Japanese items on ebay right now and it says that one of the items is a mine. I've never seen anything like it and I wonder what it is. Perhaps it's a field stove. Does anyone know?

Not sure. Looks like a parrafin stove to me or a meths stove. Can't see why a mine would have all the holes round the bottom. Looks like a filler hole aswell rather than a fuze pocket.

Doesn't look like a mine. Its features would serve no purpose on a mine.
