Israeli 'bullet-proof grenade'

This might have been discussed already but I just saw this article:

I'm guessing that's an Israeli-made (at least it's Israeli-marked) US M26 in the pic and that the article is referring to an upgrade of these, perhaps with stronger internal frag matrix?

Less the matrix than insensitive explosives. There is lots of developments in that area and nothing real new I would say.

I think that they've changed the fuze, too. IMI recently published a patent for an out-of-line relay charge hand grenade fuze.

so is the gren pictured in the article in link an Israeli-made US M26, or does it just look like an M26? if the latter, what is the Israeli gren called?

Did Israel start off with US-supplied M26s or have they always produced them under license etc whilst they have been in service?

I guess the M26 replaced the Mills 36M in Israeli service?
