Today I bought this 81 mm Italian mortar. Does anybody have a clear cutaway drawing of the shell and the fuze for me?
Thanks in advance,
Regards, DJH

Nice item but how would the mortar fire with a tail fin wider than the mortar body?
The tail would have to fold and spring out after firing?

I also found a similar item in Bosnia - manufacturer/country unknown. I'll see if I can find a photo at work.

Not a great photo, but you get the idea. Brown item in the center, recovered in mid 1996, Tuzla region if I recall correctly.

Yes, thank you,
I found out I am missing the bushings below the adepter ring, so I'll need to find that first.
