I would like to identify this fuze and use. I think it is Italian.
Made of red anodized aluminium? 23.5mm wide. 19.5mm base. 27.5mm long. 2.0mm thread pitch.

Stamped - 1 . PER 1 . MOD 40 5 point star RR

Primer ("Innesco") fitted on top fuze Mod 40 (I assume it the same device for mod40 p.c and mod 40 m.c. fuze)
