I ask what is the earliest date noted on a Japanese 25mm Hotchkiss Type 96 cartridge case ?
I have this case marked FLU 1 with a Kure anchor from January 1940.
I am also interested to see what other dates exist from 1940 and earlier. 1941, 1942 & 1943 dates are quite common.
Is Dainippon June 1943 the latest date before headstamps were not used?
