Japanese Post WWI Stick grenade? ODD

Hello everybody.

This very unusual grenade went through ebay five or six years ago. It was identified as a Japanese grenade. I have no reference on this. BOCN has to be the center of the collecting world for Ordnance collectors. I hope somebody can verify the identification. These are the only pictures I have. It has a handle like early British stick grenades.

In an old jpn manual this english looking grenade was pictured.

May be the jpn imported british grenade and rebuild them.
 
Does anyone have any more drawings or photos of the Japanese Grenade in the manual, similar to the Russian one I recently posted and the British No 1 ? Thanks in advance. Tony.
