Another new addition to my collection is this German 37mm
Headstamped M(under a crown) C/97 98
II 1904 KARLSRUHE III..
Does the M indicate naval use ????
Also is the projectile correct for the cartridge as it appears to be made from parts Fired cartridge and unfired projectile

The case must be another type with small primer not screwing
Example of stamp AWS114 at 12 APRL at9 1888 at 3 small AWS11 al 6
 
About case headstamps, M under crown and C/97 are typical naval markings. This casetype itself was used widely with different naval and army guns.
