Kugelmania II

Here is a snap of my WW1 German Kugel grenades to date. One not pictured is on the way from England, that is the kugelkopft (percussion m1913 kugel on a stick). Left to right m1915 kugel - m1913 German Kugel - practice m1915 German Kugel - Transitional Kugel between m1913 and m1915 kugels - partially blown m1915 German Kugel. I love German WW1 grenades and ordnance, and beleive you me when the kufgelkopft gets here I will defo add it to picture.....Dano

Thanks Paul, The surface mail seems to be moving quicker than I got used to, seems to take about a month nowadays which is quite a bit more pallatable than 2 - 4 months. The kugalkopft has a repro handle which is very common to this breed, only know of one with original wooden handle and it belongs to somebody I know!!!!!Also I used to have a kugel Bilboquet (ball in cup) which is the rarest of all kugels. Actually I tool a '15 kugel and made the base and pin but the results were good. sure like to see an original, anyone ever seen a n original Boilboquet kiugel (page 5 in Delhomme German WW1 book) Dano

Nice collection Dano. Looks like I need to clean some of my recent INERT findings
to complete my own collection of German grenades. Haven't found any
practise grenades yet.

In the wild

Jan that is a beautiful snap of some kugels in the wild. May I use that picture in my sometime in the future to be released book. I just love seeing this stuff in as found state and would very much appreciate your okay on that..Best as always....Dano

Dano, no problem. Let me know in due time and I will send you the original
one which is over 2Mb in size (better resolution than this small thumbnail).
This is just one sample of the many relics snapshots I took depicting
various types of handgrenades.

Much appreciated Jan, sure wish I could have "lived it" as you and many others have, just to poke around on one of the old battlefields of The Great War is a life long dream. Someday (sooner than later I hope) I will make it to belguim or France and have a lok-see. By the way, that transitional kugel was WAY up there on my "hitlist" so was glad to get it. I don't get too many chances at rarer German WW1 grenades so I ordered three of them. Will picture others as they arive....Dano Regards...Dano
