KZU-2 demolition charge, Russia

microplastic

Well-Known Member
The KZU-2 explosive charge is designed to destroy reinforced concrete and metal structures (bridges, supports, rocket launchers, pipelines, etc.). The charge can be used in all weather conditions, even underwater. The charge is ignited electrically and can be equipped with a time fuze.

The KZU-2 consists of a solid body with the detonator attached on top, the charge (alloyed TG-40), removable magnets for quick attachment, two rings for securing the charge with rope, and a foam insert. The body has a semi-cylindrical cumulative cavity with a steel liner. The foam insert ensures the formation of a cumulative jet when used in water. When the KZU-2 is installed on land, the liner is removed.

Charge weight: 0.9 kg
Explosive weight: 0.32 kg
Explosive: TG-40 (TNT and RDX)
Dimensions: 15cm x 10.5cm x 8.5cm
penetrating ability: Steel 3.6cm / Reinforced concrete 30cm
