In mid 1920's Paris, a travelling freak circus has an act called "La Vénus électrique" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt37163509/?_ssoLoop=1. Its performer, a girl, inadvertantly performs a dead soul seance on a wrong man with very interesting consequences. A great story with a tad of humour. Might make your day.
