Large WW2 German Cartridge Case

Hi All,

Picked this up today. Not my usual thing but just love the size of it.

It stands approx. 82cm high. The mouth of the case is a little distorted but measures around 21.5cm-22cm, no major dings or dents.

The head stamp markings read: aux C/34 6154 (Wehrmacht eagle) V 41.

Can anyone tell me what gun this might have been used in? Also does anyone know what it's possibly worth?

Many thanks,

Ben.

Interesting that the Prinz Eugen's main armament used these. So are these cases relatively common?

They are not common, not rare, overhere, in the Netherlands, once every 3 months or so, you will see one for sale or trade.
