This cartoonish star-studded (French stars) comedy https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055827/ follows a bunch of French prisoners in their internment by Germans in IIWW. Swaying from serious to amorous to totally buffoonish, it is one of the early attempts to laugh at IIWW, the style perfected by Bourvil and de Funes a decade later. It is for people who want to become serious Francophiles.
