I am talking about nonmetallic, hard to detect mines, with antihandling devices, bounding / fragmentation / incendiary possibly. Or what do you think?
And anything from the USA or Germany very interesting.
My first shot: the M14- it's all plastic, i.e. hard to detect and creates plastic fragments which are close to impossible to detect in Xray.

Let's hear your opinions, experts.Dave
Dragontooth,
Questionable? Hideous?
With all due respect and no animosity, I think you have the wrong forum. Weapons are generally designed to hurt/kill people, that is a given. This is bad, we all understand this. Those who work/have worked in this field know it better than any. However, there are plenty of other sites that will go on and on about just how bad the different weapons are and which and why they should be banned. But this is not, or at least in the past has not been one of them.
Explosive ordnance is a science. It involves history, design, analysis and understanding. This is something that people on this site work at, and a subject interest that the members share to different degrees. We work with facts, discuss opinions on design purposes and seek/share information. Normally we try not to dramatize our discussions with word like hideous, questionable, etc. Instead we concentrate on how it worked, when it was deployed, where, how it is found, variations, etc. Personally, I prefer it that way.
Again with no hard feelings, at times I question your motivation. Many of your questions come across as from an outsider, looking for information that can be manipulated and used for different purposes. You do not seem to me to be a collector, one who works in the field, or a typical researcher that has one or two questions and goes there own way. People on this forum give their information and opinions freely, but with the general feeling that they are doing this with like minded individuals, not just someone looking for a quote, or support for a position paper they are writing.
this is one from my collection.
but they did have anti handling and when they were armed they stayed armed .
that pic is of a pfm 1.looking for other colours :tinysmile_hmm_t:
Ivashkin - it was a copy, correct - but far from an exact copy. Size, color, fuzing are all different.
