One can only hope that the cross should they manage to destroy it falls and has something nice and soft to land on,

By the looks of it, they were desecrating a WWII Cemetery, most likely American or as one youtube poster cited, British Commonwealth. If they thought WE were the great Satan, they would have had a BIG surprise if the Nazis had won. There wouldn't have been a one of them alive right now if that would have happened because THEY would have been the next targets of Racial Cleansing. But no, they destroy the memory of those that saved their countries. Then they install a tyrant who reigns for 40+ years and they FINALLY get the intestinal fortitude to depose and murder him on the streets. It didn't matter that the graves were of Christians and JEWS that had came to their country to throw off the yoke of oppression. No, they have to destroy the evidence and now re-write history to conform to their blood thirsty religion. And they wonder WHY we call them barbarians. Thanks, kz11gr, for posting.

is it worse than people destroying war memorials for the scrap value of the bronze plaques? that goes on in Britain, I think not, but then there are some real nasty people around, just a pity we cant re educate them.

Also regardless of whatever religious bent they feel justifies such action - this is just the actions of boys-not those of the men such as those whose marked memory they think they are attacking.
The men who are remembered here are long gone-but not what they set out to acheive and paid the ultimate price for. Stone or no stone, cross or no cross. (Also bear in mind many were not of the Anglican/Catholic faith).
 
You are completely right, Hicky. The video shows them giving SPECIAL attention to one of the stones with a Star of David on it. Ironic, to say the least. And thank you for the clarification, Combat. Bruce.

The regimental badge on the Jewish headstone was that of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (RAOC), mine and LCPL Combat's old corps. It's hard to fathom why the morons doing the damage did what they did, unless it was purely because they are anti-western. Religious zealots seem to be stuck in a time warp.
 
They are all nuts.
Whether it is because of religion or the fact that they all live in a big kitty litter box or anything in between I do not care. Anytime I turn on the news and their kind are killing each other off it's a good day.
There is no rhyme or reason to their behavior. It's like a big insane assylum over there.
And I quote "Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings."
 
I have been doing my family history research on and off since 1990 and this year tracked down what happened to the son of one of my Great Uncles. My father, who was a teenager at the time, said that his cousin had been killed in North Africa, maybe while involved in bomb disposal work, and had been born a few years earlier than he. A few years ago I checked the WW2 dead, in the official records they are covered by the period 1939 - 1948 (presumably to include those killed during bomb and mine disposal / munitions clearance), but my father's cousin was not among them. Earlier this year I checked another website, I believe it covers the dead who are listed on the walls at The National Memorial Arboretum and his name was there. Claude Fenn was a Signaller in the Royal Signals, who died aged 19 in July 1949. Armed with the date of his death I went to Kings Lynn library and viewed microfilm of the local newspaper from that time. There was a front page paragraph that said he had gone for a short walk in the desert and had somehow activated a munition and was killed in the explosion. The following week there was a notice from his parents and another from his fiance. Benghazi has a Commonwealth war cemetery and a British military cemetery. I suspect that Claude was buried in the military cemetery.

By now, no war memorial, military cemetry, place of remembrance or building is safe for metal thieves. Even Margaten military cemetry, where one can clearly see a vast field of white crosses from a distance is not safe to this respectless scum.
However, as soon as they get caught they get a punishment that wouldn't even scare a child.


At the company I work for , a 7.5 meter dia., 18 tons bronze ship propeller vanished into thin air without a trace....... As long as these people are not punished in a way that will make them think twice, this will continue.

Sometimes I wish that we had to undergo a new war, our young and old know again what it is that sustain a total loss of freedom and disaster destruction.
They face every day anxiety and fear of death, it falls anywhere and anytime, it affects family and friends before touching themselves.
That they learn again what it is to be released and enjoy freedom.
