Hi thats very intersting these are the Naval limpets i think as the SOE and OSS were bakelite and used for land targets are these in a museum ?
Fuzeman
according to the information i have here. These were produced by both SOE and MD1 Four different marks were developed .
The Mk I had a hemispherical body with a single fuze pocket
The Mk II had the same body as the Mk1 But with a second fuze pocket
The Mk III and Mk IV each had a flatter circular body
Reading WINSTON CHURCHILLS TOYSHOP by Stuart Macrae the first limpet mine the Mk1 was first made using plates bought from Woolworths in Bedford and the same design was used for 3 years .
Thats the wonder of Woolies ?
