Links

Picked up a box full of links.
Interestingly the box stencilling & the label inside says they are links for the 20mm Model 1938 rounds?
To me this means the 20mm Solothurn which I am sure only used magazines.
Tried a `38 round & whilst it fits the links are too loose so would jam.
However a 20 x 139 fit perfectly.
Links are new & appear too modern for WWII - no markings either.
Label in box is in German & French & Italian also says they were made in Berne Switzerland (which would account for the 3 languages).

Anyone confirm model of links, explain the box referring to `38 Flabkanone?

Cheers

Yes this are swiss links.
Look this is the same but it is for a 34x239 Cartridge used in the 34mm Flab Kan 38.
Nice links you have.

Ah - Clean forgot about this one.
Funnily enough I have a few fired but sound training projectiles I got from clearing a WWII AA site near Duinreille in Holland.
Looking for case now then!?

I will advertise the links for sale as I do not need more than a couple for my collection.

Hi Guys
Unfortunately I seem to have had a moment

I thought about this during the week & realisedI had confused myself - these aretoo small for the 34mm!!
As I said in the start of the post the 20 x 139 rounds fit perfectly.
The label in the lid stats they are links for 20mm DCA & DAA ammunition. Unfortunately it does not give a case length.

As per Rigby & Defender they are for the 20 x 139 F38

I will re-advertise as such

Thanks guys
