Hi,

According to SIGFAB, which is the complete list of ammunition factories french codes edited by french MoD (2002) :

Code for 'Poudreries de Saint-Médard' is 'SM'

'PSM' stands only for ETS POMIES, (Located AUREILHAN and MIMIZAN)
'PB' stands also for ETS BLANCHET (PARIS)

sgdbdr,

In my copy of the French "Repertoire des sigles ateliers - Forces armées françaises" the codes were assiged to

PB: Poudrerie Nationale de Pont de Buis

PSM: Ets Pomies-Mimizan AND Pouderie de St-Medard (this one also used SM as code)

The 'Ets Blanchet' was assigned the code PBA

There seems to be some diffrences between both our edititions...

see attached scans.

Hi !

We just have to find out which edition of this f*****g book gives the right definition.
My guess, the older, the better !

Regards,

S.

I love it when there is no direct answer, makes the hunt even more fun.

I would think we would then have to go off of the date on the munition.
