Lotcode on No. 37 Pistol

I have a question about the lotcode on a British No. 37 pistol.

The pistol is marked as follows:
No. 37
WECO 12/40
72

This No. 37 Pistol has a delay of 72 hours, but is the 12 the production month December in 1940 or is this a batchnumber in 1940.

For my opinion is the 12 the month of production. There are pictures of this pistol ?

Rgds,
Mossie

I am sorry, no picture available. As far as I know the lotcode on British fuzes and pistols during WW2 was always the factory code + month and year of production. I was wondering if there was a lotcode with a figure higher than 12 (december).
