I picked up this M17 egg grenade at a local show a few years ago. It's a very clean example and has its original pull cord/bead, leather washer and cap. The base is stamped with an encircled GMB.
It's the code for the foundry that cast this particular grenade. I wish I knew what it stood for. Here's an interesting thread with a list of known stamps.
