M24 grenade cap..

I picked this up a while ago,,, i have a few bottom screw caps but this is a first on me,, seems like brass finish and very solid. the seller told me it was a very early cap for M24..
can anyone confirm this please ?

Interesting that you posted this, I just saw one for sale myself and wanted to inquire about it. The one I saw had no markings on it though.
