M30 bodies ID

014.JPG015.JPGA guy was asking me if I had any idea on what these may have been used/designated for. Notice both threaded and bottom holes sealed on red one. I was pretty sure homemade (for training/throwing) but wanted to run it by everyone to see if there was any thing else to tell the guy.

I think the bodies are good, not homemade or that replica crap. You can see traces of blue paint under the red. So, I would guess authentic M30 bodies using the normal plastic plugs to keep crap out. The paint is likely to make them more visible for recovery. Probably for throwing practice as you thought.
