I am trying to find a picture of the M306 and M306A1 57-MM Recoilless Projectile side by side. What I am looking for is the crimping area on the projectiles. According to TM 9-1300-204 the difference between the two rounds were the cartridge cases, fuzes, and how they were crimped. So I was wondering if the projectile might look different where is would be crimped to the cartridge case?

Probably not, but I thought I would see.

Joe,

I have a 1945 T22 and M306 projectiles, 1953 and 1972 M306A1 Projectiles. I wasn't able to get photos tonight, but I will. There is a slight difference in the crimping groove, but the biggest differences occur between the 1953 M306A1 and 1972 M306A1. It will be very evident in the photos. There are also 3 different neck designs for the cartridge cases.
