m31 practice question

I recently purchased 3 M31 practice rifle grenades and one shipping tube. All 3 of the grenades had some denting on the cone and the fins were bent. I am planning on refurbishing one of them to an M31 HEAT. Well, when sanding some rust off I found stenciling that said GRENADE RIFLE M31 and then the under that HEAT. Also, the body is not aluminum, it is copper. Is this a conversion?
