For some unknown reason this projectile is the toughest of
the type to find (secound hardest is the M94 Coastal Artillery projectile). It only took me about 15 years ! These supplanted
the MKllA1 and I wonder if these in turn were supplanted by the
M63 type as I have one of those in blue for 1944. Some of these show up
with M54 fuzes, which are likely fitted because they fit, I doubt
that is correct (though it would work I guess). The 1943 steel case was fired but the barrel must
have been cool and the markings didn't burn off.
