Machine for extracting bomb fuzes

As per my reply about the other Facebook video.

I don't use Facebook, or social media in general, but Facebook data, unless private, can be viewed if you know how.

Right click on the link (URL) and, if you have the choice which is dependant on your browser, choose 'Open In New Private Window'. Other browser may have a differ option/wording if they support private windows. That or manually copy the URL and then just open a 'Private Window' and paste the URL in, and hit return.

In the new 'Private Window', accept all cookies, and then just click the circled 'X' instead of logging in. This was using Firefox. This will work for a few images/videos/etc., but after that the process has to be repeated, as your limited Facebook viewing access has ended.

Here are a few pictures of the tool.

Rocket wrench, UK/US version is powered by .5 cartridges, de-bullited and an electrical igniter I stalled where the percussion cap was....
Just make sure you know what direction the thread turns or you'll tighten it more/snap off the head.

The rocket wrench enabled remote removal of bomb pistols of the anti-handling type such as the British No 37 Tail Pistol. Two modified 0.5 calibre blank cartridges were fired elecrically and spun the Pistol out so quickly that as the detonator fired it was already clear of the bomb and the Exploder did not fire and initiate the main filling.
One of he images shows a detonator which has fired has indicated by its shattered stem. It was a mandatory requirement, when 'fuzing'the bomb to install a long-delay Detonator so, in the event the Pistol was accidentally rotated back a quarter turn AFTER being screwed fully home causing the Pistol to operate, the 'crack' of the Detonator firing gave the idiot who triggered it around 30 seconds to leg it a high speed!

The rocket wrench is a wrench that allows us to safely unscrew all bomb or artillery fuses from a safe distance, as long as they are not booby-trapped. The wrench works with 12.7mm (50 cal) cartridges. This is done electrically; an igniter is placed on the primer of the cartridge case, or pyrotechnically, in which case a slow-burn fuse and detonating cord are used. In both cases, the projectiles were removed before using the cartridges.

In addition to the rocket, a tensioner is placed on the rocket, rotated so that when the rocket is activated, the tensioner helps extract the fuse.

The photos show Pitols 28 and 30, a Schothée, and a US-type ANM base fuse.

For booby-trapped fuses like the N°37, the casing is unscrewed to neutralize the bomb.
