Hello does anyone know who BEC is.
The mark was found on a British No940 tail fuze dated 1964..
* i also noted in the list of fuzes i have it says the 940 was under development in 1966 although this fuze is dated 1964, is this just another error in the fuze list.
Thanks
Allan
BE was the monogram for ROF Blackburn, East Block, "the fuze factory" However, it is listed as changing to BN on 7th February 1963. It might be they retained BE for experimental/trials work and the C denotes something on those lines.
What is the Lot number and is there any filler's monogram?
If you've got the same list as me, there are a number of errors.
Thank you Tim
Its just stamped with
940 Mk1
12/64 BEC Lot 4
There is another mark but im unsure if its just some scratching although with lots of staring it starts to look like a broad arrow and AA
