Trying to find the manufacturer name for S&W found on most 2"mortar illum and signal star rounds. Anyone know.

Yes it's the rectangle with s&w upon a square. Funny how they made heavy steel rollers and illum mortar rounds, did they make the round or assemble the components and stamped their logo on the side?

The item with their trade mark on was manufactured by them. In some cases, the manufacturers would supply assembled items ready for filling. In this instance, without seeing the contract details it's not possible to say.
