Hello all,
I’m researching the Charger .303 inch, Mark V and have a copy of the associated drawing IDW 4539. However, I have been unable to confirm which firms actually manufactured the Mark V.
Most sources list makers for the earlier Marks (I–IV), but information on the Mark V seems scarce, and I haven’t been able to find any examples with clear maker-marks.
If anyone has:
• a Mark V charger in their collection (with any stamp or maker’s code),
• documentation identifying which company produced them, or
• any contract lists, inspector’s notes, tool-room records, or Pattern Room references relating to charger Mk V production,
I would be very grateful for any details.
Thank you,
Ian
