I think these are battery symbols. Which country does this map come from?

Ok this explains why the german symbols won't fit - but the overall appearance is the same. The german Symbols which I know differentiate between the types of guns like machine guns, field guns, small and large howitzers until the very large mortars - at least 20 different symbols.
