Hi. I need help identifying the markings on these two primers.
3BS instead of the production date.
What does A71 mean?

3BS - Empty Lot identifier. From about 41/42 the Lot Number was replaced by the Empty Lot identifier - probably due to the enormous numbers being produced. The number is the last digit of the year, the two letters represent the lot, starting at "AA" and advancing every 10,000 items, "AB" "AC" and so on. "I" and "O" weren't used.

A71 - I think this is an examiner's mark
