MILES gear

The ultimate in laser tag. Have rarely(never?) seen this type of thing on the market. This set is Norwegian in origin but appears to be very similar to the U.S. product. Not sure if this works, still. Not sure where the batteries go or if they're available on the open market. What appears to be the power supply is sewn into the webbing. Any info appreciated.

I haven't heard much about MILES in a long time, I think they (US at least) have gotten away from it. Not so much in the "current threat" type of training any more. I'll try and ask some of the guys locally if they are still using it. Most I think are more into the dye marker cartridges now, more of a MOUT/close quarters type of training.

I used this gear about 25 years ago. I remember it was used on our Fal / Falo and Mag and used with blank cartridges. A near miss was 2 beeps, a kill was continuous beep and could be used for long distance training. The officers in control of the exercise had a key to switch the thing off. Walking the point and ambushed I was the first KIA in the killing zone. A walk for 30 minutes while beeping continually irritating loud followed searching for the guy whit the key.
