Whilst doing a bit of research into 2" Trench Howizter makers I found that the Elmbank (or Elm Bank) Foundry in Glasgow was actually set up and owned by James Allen Snr who are known as early Mills grenade makers in their own right.
Elmbank made Mills Grenades from 1915 through to 1918 at least. Here's some photos of their base plugs.
Dave (Millsbomber), could possibly update his reference website to reflect the ownership of Elmbank by James Allen Snr. Others may wish to update any notes they maintain on Mills base plugs. I now wonder if there are any other situations like this were two companies have a single ownership?
