Thanks Dave. I wonder if your grandad knew my grandfather's cousin who was in the RWKR and was killed at Loos in September 1915? Albert Milner. My Grandfather also fought at Loos with the Royal Engineers (his company fought as Infantry there).

John, my grandmother and great aunts said he never talked about his service, he wrote only 2 post cards home ( now I have them ) saying he was ok, he did not return home till 1919. He won the military medal still need to find out what that was for.... Dave
