The experts will correct me if I'm wrong but the "X" on your No. 5 is a mold or casting mark and not a makers mark.

I also have a couple of No. 5's marked with an "X", "10" & "W".

If it is a makers mark, myself and many others would be very interested in finding out who it is.

Any chance you could post photos of your No. 5?
