Mk 103

Large round (3).jpg This is a MK 103 - sorry it's upside down! The projectile is unpainted steel with a zinc plug. Does anyone know if this round is a weapons inspection round or a target practice round?
Thanks, Roger

That looks to be a mis-match. While both German and both 3cm, the projectile is from the shorter Mk108 cannon and is a TP projectile.

That's a "Anschußgeschoss", I don't know the English name, as it was used in the MK101, 103 and 108. It was used for test firing, e.g. after a weapon was repaired.
