Greetings Grenadiars,
Got a MK2 this weekend, having some touble identifying body markings. I can markings simular but not with all these on a single body.
Any help on this, along with comments would be greatly appreciated.

There are those amongst us who consider "blasting" to be blasphemous *cough* John *cough*. Nevermind them. Some of this stuff NEEDS restoring and I've found blasting to be perfect for the majority of clean-ups. Nice 'nade, by the way. Bottom and top pics would be nice.
thanks Slick, ill try to take some. and as far as blasting goes, this sucker was painted red, white, & blue and bttm cut out to cut 15/16" fine thread so they could screw it on to a cut-off end of naval shell caseing. When I saw this otherwise Beautiful example. i wept for what had been done to it!
have a look at sgt lynns website "THE GRENADE RECOGNITION MANUAL" http://members.shaw.ca/dwlynn/tgrm.htm and scroll down to MARKINGS. you will find lots of info here.

Great reference site, but some data is missing. For instance, U.S. grenade code "AR" is not explained. I think it is pretty much accepted that the code stands for "American Radiator." Perhaps Sgt. Lynn will update the information with the help of the very knowledgeable forum members....
No not "All", Unfortunately there are very few US pineapple body makers known. The one shown at beginning of this thread is a common marking on WWI and 1920's- maybe early 30's..... the "diamond F" with various numbers and other marks. "N" is another commonly found on early MkI and MkII bodies also. Sgt. Lynn's site has some of them, but as said already needs to be updated with a few more known makers.
