Mooring spindle.

I know it is a long shot but maybe someone can ID this one. It could/should be a sea mine mooring spindle retrieved from the sea after the war north of the Dutch isle of Terschelling and demined on board a fishing vessel, the captain was allowed to keep the spindle.
I’am trying to verify the make English/German?

After a 2 hour search skipt ww2 and found it in ww1. Mine spherical mk III.

Nice, on the top part of the photo we also can see the bottomplate with your tripod and the eye of the spindle.
