Mosta Dome (and German bomb), Malta

Recently, on a holiday to Malta I went to look at the unexploded German bomb at Mosta Dome church.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotunda_of_Mosta"]Rotunda of Mosta - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Domen_i_Mosta.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/2f/Domen_i_Mosta.jpg/250px-Domen_i_Mosta.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/2/2f/Domen_i_Mosta.jpg/250px-Domen_i_Mosta.jpg[/ame]

The bomb came through the roof and landed on the floor of the church without exploding. Apparently the original one was destroyed by EOD and the one on display is a "replica". However, it looks too well made to be a replica and looks like another diffused bomb. The photo of the church ceiling shows the still visible damaged patch where the bomb came through (highlighted by red square).

No problem. So is this a real 250kg bomb rather than a replica?

I forgot, I took a close-up of the fuze as well.

I would say the nose is correct and the main body is fabricated as the fuse pocket has no welds around it.

well made for sure heres a comparison and it does look close
