Hi Darrol its not a Vickers MG its a german MG 09 nearly same as the devils paint brush MG08 !
The breach block belongs to the MG 09 !

Wunderbar collection David. I bet you are happy after 3 years. Thanks for sharing it. Is the MP-38-40? a "Deko" but real WW2 gun? Do you have more photos?

Funny, over here in the US I have 2 of the same exact glass display cases you have, and I also stuck the little lights at the top. They look better with less in them like yours, mine are too full of junk. I could use 10 more cases easily. There not cheap though.

HaHa! I think now I have seen these same display cases all over the world here on this site. the sammlers think alike :tinysmile_grin_t:

I was more than happy after 3 years stored in cartons to display my collection

Rights Kilroy its an MP 38/40 normaly not my collections area but some years ago i have get it very cheap its called (Altdeko ) its a deactivated WW2 gun !

Hi Dave, 39 euros is really a gut price for a glass case like ours. I will look around and see if I can find more for myself. :tinysmile_fatgrin_t

What is "alt" deko"......is it different than just "deko"? can you show more pics sometime of the nice MP-40? I wish we in America could also have these deactivated original and "cheap" MP-40's. :tinysmile_angry2_t:

Mp38/40

Hi

Altdeko means its a deactivatet original gun there needs some particular changes to be made regarding the country rules !

For example the barrel has to be drilled with six holes in the size of the bore

The brech block has to cut on the front side in an angel with 45 deg

The hole for the firing pin has to be closed with a welding spot !

And some more small changes a metal pin has to be in the end of the barrel like this !
