Mystery 75mm

Hey everybody, I have a 75mm here with the exact same 75x350mmR dimensions as the 1897 French field gun round, however, it is dated 1962??
I have scowered the internet in search of what this could possibly be, I know that the Sherman tanks and B-25H's used the same case, but niether of those were used in the 60's. I am at a loss here. oh:

Might be for a blank round used for saluttes and guns used on bases for flag ceremonies?

I had thought of that, but aren't blanks usually cut down used casings with 2 dates on them? It is possible though.

The casing is marked 75mm FG, so it would be for the M1897 Field Gun. I'm thinking the B.H. 1962 is the lot number and the -18 is the year it was made. Also the fact that there is and ordnance mark (crossed cannons and surrounding belt) instead of a DoD Eagle (DoD founded 1949) would, I think, support this. IMHO, Bruce.

What is stamped around the primer. There is usually a date there too.
