I have recently found a mystery object.
Its made of brass and is in the shape of a rimless cartridge and a flat end.
There are markings on the flat mart as in the photograph.
Can anyone tell me what it could be?
It must be British and WWII from the context it was found in, could it be a brass sample or something from the manufacturing/production process?
It is 90mm x 35mm
