Picked this one up to use as an umbrella stand in my hall. It's a cut-down 5.25 Inch Naval case that at some stage in it's life lived in the Petty Officer Mess of HMNZS Philomel (Naval base) in New Zealand! Hope you like it
Looks like a well travelled case.
There is a few of these about in NZ ,though not seen a chromed one before.
Most seem to suffer ,as yours does too, of being shortened as there don't appear to be any of the cutouts at the mouth,usually shortened by only a few mm's,or belled out at the mouth.
