Need help identifying this projectile

this projectile is 40mm diameter above and below the band

the fired band is made of steel and is 14.38mm wide

the rear silver section is alloy and has/had a tracer

the stamps on the projectile are INERT RG 01/05

my thoughts are it is a 40mm Bofors L/70 experimental projectile
