Need ID on a 37mm and 77mm(ish) case

Picked up two cases at an antique shop yesterday, both are a little unusual. The first looks initially like a 7.7cm, but some of the markings are strange to me, especially on the primer. The mouth of the case is rough, but it is in the 75-77mm range.

The second appears to be a 37mm, and initially looks like someone's lamp, but on closer inspection I'm not so sure.

Any info on either would be welcome.

No ideas on the first - possibly Scandinavian? Primer Italian?
With you on the second though - looks like a lamp stand! Although I would expect a slot for the cable at the base? Unfinished project?

For CMC I have two manufacturors :

Coleman Motor Corporation, Littleton, CO, USA
Uzinale Metalwrgica di Corsa Mica SI, Cugir, Romania

Sorry Yoda - I think it is O.M.C & that is aTurin (Torino) based company still - though nothing to do with Ordnance now?
If it was American I doubt it would be marked so & the primer is not common to USA.
I think Falcon is right

Hicky is right, the primer is italian too. "Torino" is written on the primer and also the Italian designation "Modello 1912 (Mod. 912)".

Hello everyone
US-Subs,
As said by the other members, your first case is italian.
It is the same case as the belgian 75x277R and many other countries used this case.
See the post in forum projectiles "Turkish 75 mm" started by Andysarmoury the 7th November 2014.
I join a photo of a case identical to your. The maker is the same: SMI (Societa Metallurgica Italiana) but the year is 917 instead of 916 and the maker of the primer is not the same.
An idea I have: Italians have named the primer Modello 912, perhaps because the case is of german origin (Krupp) and intended to be fitted with a C/12 primer. It is only an idea.

Thanks to all for the help with the 75mm. Any more ideas on the 37mm?

Subs, Don't know the country, but with the "graininess" of the mouth of the case and the steps, could it be possible that the casing was necked down then threaded for what hicky suggested was a lamp? The only real identifier that you have other than the markings on the primer is the indented base. Does anyone know who made casings like that? Cheers, Bruce.

The piece in the mouth is separate, my first thought when it was described to me was a sub-cal, but clearly that is not it. Second was as mentioned above, a lamp. But that does not seem to fit either. A strange case.
