It's a Dutch MN40 AP round (made by NWM), that appears normal in all sense, but it has a strange lotcode.
I have this round some time in my collection, but until today i never encountered this P.A marking...

By pure luck, i found the exact same lotcode "NWM-1-P.A" on an MN40 in a 1970's dated NWM salesprogramm.

Is there anyone who can tell me more about the meaning of "P.A" in this lotcode ?
Could it be a 'sales representative round' or something like that....

More pictures of the complete round can be found here

Thanks,
Geert.

This week, on the Dutch ECRA/NVBMB website, a thread was started about 20x139 rounds with lotcodes containing 'PILOT A' and 'PILOT B'...
In some paperwork from NWM, these 'pilot A' and 'Pilot B' lot designations were explained as testlots for accepting the rounds

If the MN40 was introduced in 1970 (which seems to fit in the correct introduction timeframe), the "NWM-1-P.A-70" marking on this projectile could also mean 'Pilot A' (and it was lot 1) so it could be a testlot/acceptance for this cartridge.
