These are great pics Fusse! Pictures of early German clusters are really scarce.
Would you happen to have pics of a BSK-36? (I have seen only till now a photo of a remaining discarded opening plate and drawing ttrying to reconstruct it) This will help to solve the debate about this cluster: officially it was stored vertically in the bomb bay, the lower plaque being discarded allowing the incendiary bomblets to fall out - the problem is that we have reports and photographs showing that the BSK-36 cluster was the standard equipment of the Do17E and the bomb bay of this aircraft could not accommodate it in a vertical position, so we need to suppose that the cluster could also be dropped as such, dismantling in mid-air and releasing the bomblets. Only seeing the real objects will enable to really understand how it worked.
