Love the M63. I've never had one but have been tempted many times. I think there's one on SA at the moment.

Thanks guys, 8-41 is on the base plug John. I'm especially fond of my British grenades. Would like to thank Clive Meakins for the "L"series.
I really like those!

The M63 is a great 'nade, but timmymac's one has the wrong fuze type !

The M63 used the AWF M1BgA1 (live, copper color)), M3BgA1 (practice, bleu color) or M50 series fuzes (see upper row on the picture).
The fuze on Timmymac's grenade is an M73 (bleu color) practice fuze, and those were only used on the M73 Prac gren (practice grenade for the M72 HE Frag grenade; both on the bottom of the picture)

Aahh!, so Orpheus , I need fuse M1BgA1 in order to have a true '63.
as stamped on body. Would you have a zoomed in pic of yours, as to get abetted look at what I'm after. Thanks brother!

Hi Timmymac,

Yes, to be 100% accurate, you need a AWF M1A1 or a M50 fuze (both fuzes were revised in the mid 60's and renamed to AWF M1A2 and M60).

The AWF was used for throwing the M63 as a handgrenade AND for launching it as a rifle-grenade.
The M50 fuze was intended for use as handgrenade only
