New Mills No 23 baseplug find.

A mate made one for me and i was just playing about with it. Should really have put his name on it as maker.
Screws into a gren just fine.
A bit of fun.

a nice plug all the same, you never know it might catch on and we will all want one with our name on:tinysmile_twink_t2:
Cheers

I could have aged it a bit and in a few years it would have looked pretty realistic as a blank plug. This way, it will always be seen as a fake.

A bit unique though, there's none other like it about.

Hi guys, I think this is totally awesome. Why not go a step further and some young enterprising buck make some commemerative base plugs for the shows. I mean something like "NO23 MK1 Beltring 2011". One could really go nuts and limit the production run, and accompany it with a certifacate of authenticity (like #3 of 100). Bet they would sell for at least a couple of quid.........Dano

Hi Andy

Brilliant idea. My daughter got married at Wadhurst a few weeks ago too!

You may have thought of a new industry. If you could engrave them on the spot at Beltring you'd do well!

Hi John,

you should have let me know John, ime sure i could have met you for a quick beer before the happy event. Was it on a Saturday as i did see a lot of people going to a wedding a few weeks back.

I wish i could do the engraving myself as i know the guy who makes the plugs well. Shouldnt be too difficult to learn.

Hi Andy

It was October the 9th. The wedding was a bit of a doo at the castle. We had a great time, but not a grenade in sight.

We'll have that beer soon.

John
