I assume a signal bomb with a flash. ahem, so much for my German! I was hopeful someone on the forum might have a more specific bit of info. Thanks for looking.:smile:

Bomb, ground Signal ,Flash

Box for a bomb, ground signal,flash as listed in the recognition handbook for German ammunition (april 1945)
Have found very little else apart from a reference in French of it being an explosive simulator device (electrically fired) for training use. One bomb per box. Best pic. I could find of the bomb itself - bit poor but at least it gives some idea of what it looked like.
